Extra-curricular activities

Warrimoo Public School encourages all students from K-6 to participate in extra-curricular programs. Taking part in various activities not only encourages students to bond with each other and have fun, but also motivate them to showcase their talents in public.

A feature of Warrimoo Public School is the integration of a strong and visual performing arts program reflected in class assembly items. African drumming and dance is also taught from Kindergarten to Year 6 with regular performances for the school , community and visitors. As does the "Warrimoo School Ukulele Group" also performing annually at the Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival.

Physical education is also highly regarded with students having opportunities to participate in a variety of activities including AFL, hockey, gymnastics, square dancing, athletics, swim scheme and Jump Rope for Heart.

Overnight excursions commence in Year 3, with students attending an overnight excursion based in sydney with a focus on our history. Years 5 and 6 explore the working of government with a two night excursion to Canberra and also attend an outdoor education program for four nights at a Sport and Recreation Camp.
