Any student with an interest in public speaking can join our debating program.

Creative and performing arts

Students can join our choir or dance programs. They can take part in school concerts and our art exhibition.

Each year our school dance troupe showcase their talent at Blue Mountains Dance festival and Springwood Christmas Night. Keep those feet tapping!

Class and stage excursions

Our students enjoy many excursion-based learning experiences. Excursions offer numerous benefits for children, including fostering curiosity, enhancing learning, and developing social skills. They provide opportunities for hands-on learning experiences, allowing children to explore the world beyond the classroom and engage with new environments. These outings also promote social interaction, encourage teamwork, and build confidence as children navigate new situations.

Excursions for target groups

Our dedicated library monitors have the opportunity to attend the Sydney Writers’ Festival – Primary School Day. Surrounded by enthusiastic young readers and renowned children’s authors, our students are inspired by live talks, storytelling sessions, and behind-the-scenes insights into the writing and illustrating process. This enriching experience deepens their love of literature and broadens their understanding of storytelling as a powerful tool for communication and creativity.

  Swim School Program

Our annual Swim School Program provides students with essential water safety skills and swimming instruction in a supportive and structured environment. Held over a series of sessions at a local aquatic centre, the program is led by qualified instructors and tailored to meet students at their skill level. It promotes confidence and lifelong water safety—vital skills for all Australian children.

Stage 3 Camp

Stage 3 students at our school enjoy the opportunity to participate in an exciting annual camp program, alternating each year between two memorable experiences. One year, students head to Canberra and the snow, exploring our nation’s capital, visiting key cultural and political sites, and experiencing the magic of the snowfields. The following year, they attend a Sport and Recreation camp, where they build confidence, teamwork, and resilience through a range of outdoor adventure activities. These camps support personal growth, strengthen friendships, and create lasting memories.

NAIDOC Celebrations

Each year, our school proudly celebrates NAIDOC Week with a range of activities that honour the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Guided by local Elders and community members, students engage in art, storytelling, dance, music, and learning on Country. It’s a meaningful time to reflect, connect, and celebrate the strength and resilience of First Nations peoples, while deepening our understanding and commitment to reconciliation.

Blue Mountains Ngarra Wingarru Sports Day

Burra balga dyanmila dharrabarra

Aboriginal students participate in Blue Mountains Ngarra Wingarru Sports Day bringing together students, staff, families, and community members from across the region to celebrate culture, connection, and active living.

Drumming

Each year, our students take part in an energetic and engaging African Drumming program. Led by experienced performers, the program introduces students to traditional rhythms, instruments, and cultural stories from West Africa. Through hands-on drumming sessions, students build musical skills, coordination, and teamwork—while gaining a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures and global music traditions.

LEGO Club

Our Lunchtime LEGO Club offers students a fun and creative space to build, collaborate, and problem-solve during break times. Open to all ages, the club encourages imagination, teamwork, and design thinking as students work on individual and group projects. It’s a popular and inclusive activity where students can relax, connect with others, and explore their creativity—one brick at a time!

Dharug Dhalang

Students reconnect with Country, culture, and community through the revitalisation of Dharug Dhalang – the traditional language of the Dharug Nation. Our teachers are dedicated to supporting learners of all levels on their journey to understand, speak, and live the language of the Dharug people. Teachers provide accessible tools, guided lessons, cultural context, and pronunciation support to help bring this sleeping language back into daily life.

Artshow

Students demonstarted spectacular celebration of creativity and talent at the inaugural Art Show held in 2025. With stunning artworks adorning the hall, the event showcased the exceptional skills and imagination of our students from all year levels.

The artshow featured a variety of artistic styles and mediums, from vibrant paintings and delicate sculptures to imaginative digital art. Our youngest artists impressed with their colourful explorations of shape and texture, while our senior students wowed attendees with their thoughtful and expressive pieces such as Storylines.

A highlight of the event was the interactive online auction and we thank our generous families for purchasing these masterpieces.
