Our policies and reports
At Warrimoo Public School, our school policies and reports provide families with clear and transparent information about how our school operates. They reflect our commitment to continuous improvement, student wellbeing and strong partnerships with our community.
Our Annual Report and School Excellence Plan (SEP) outline our strategic priorities, highlight key achievements, and demonstrate how we are tracking progress each year. School policies cover important areas such as student attendance, absences, behaviour expectations, school uniform requirements, and how we respond to feedback or concerns from parents and carers.
Our school’s procedural documents are developed in alignment with NSW Department of Education policies, ensuring consistency, transparency, and compliance. These procedures are tailored to reflect our unique school context, guiding daily operations and decision-making across all areas of school life. They support a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment, and are reviewed regularly to meet the evolving needs of our students, staff, and community.
Together, these documents support a shared understanding of our school’s vision, goals and expectations.
Annual school report
Each year, we publish an annual school report to keep families informed about our school’s progress and achievements. This report provides a transparent overview of how we are supporting every student’s learning and wellbeing. It demonstrates our commitment to openness, accountability, and ongoing improvement in all aspects of school life.
The report includes:
- what we’re doing well and where we’re improving
- student achievement and academic progress
- our school vision and goals
- key highlights and milestones
- challenges we’ve faced and how we’re addressing them.
School excellence plan
Our school excellence plan (SEP) is a working document that shows our priorities in learning, teaching and leading. It explains our focus areas for improvement and how we plan to get there. We write our SEP with help from our school community so it reflects our shared priorities.
School behaviour support and management plan
At Warrimoo Public School, we are dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and are able to achieve their full potential. Our School Behaviour Support and Management Plan (SBSMP) is a key component of our whole-school approach to student wellbeing and engagement.
The SBSMP sets out clear and consistent expectations for student behaviour, supporting positive conduct and respectful interactions across all areas of school life. It also outlines our proactive strategies for preventing and responding to inappropriate behaviours, including bullying, cyberbullying and discrimination.
This plan is developed in consultation with staff, students, parents and carers to ensure it reflects the values and needs of our school community. It is reviewed annually to remain current and aligned with the Department of Education’s policies and evidence-informed practices.
Through the implementation of the SBSMP, we aim to build a culture of high expectations, positive relationships and shared responsibility, supporting every student to feel safe, connected and ready to learn.
High potential and gifted education
We recognise that high potential and gifted students are present across all student groups and backgrounds. Addressing their specific learning and wellbeing needs is core business for our educators. High potential and gifted students require tailored learning opportunities and support to optimise their growth, achieve personal excellence, and reach their potential across the intellectual, creative, social-emotional, and physical domains.

Reconciliation Action Plan
We are committed to reconciliation and fostering a school culture that respects and celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we strive to build deep, ongoing, and authentic relationships with First Nations communities. We work in partnership with local Elders and community members to create inclusive, culturally safe learning environments where all students feel supported, empowered, and proud of their identity. We ensure that First Nations perspectives are meaningfully embedded across all aspects of school life, and that the cultural diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised, valued, and celebrated. Anti-bullying
Bullying of any kind is not acceptable in NSW schools.
The NSW anti-bullying website brings together information and resources for teachers, students, parents and carers. It helps to identify, prevent and respond effectively to student bullying, including online bullying. It provides information about online safety and what you can do if your child has been bullied, witnessed bullying or been involved in bullying.
For more information on anti-bullying strategies for NSW public schools refer to the department’s Bullying of Students – Prevention and Response Policy.
